“Wagner Ranch is a wonderful school with fabulous teachers, engaged students and committted parents. Sadly, the current principal's mismanagement, poor communication and leadership skills and rigid nature have seriously eroded many of the most positive aspects of the school and community cultivated by the previous principal. It remains a good school due to its teachers, but I'd agree with the October 2005 post about avoiding this school while the current principal is in place.”

“This school was excellent under helen laird's leadership; unfortunately, the new principal is really very mediocre, a poor educator and making this school more remedial in nature. I would avoid this school as long as the current principal is in charge. This person has craeted a work enviornment for many taechers that is disheartening and downright hostile.”

“Our family has found Wagner Ranch to be an excellent school for our two children. When our son was having trouble getting along with one his peers, the principal was extremely responsive and helpful, as was the school psychiatrist. Our daughter loves the extensive music program and the school's library. The school's commitment to building strong social skills creates a safe atmosphere for the children.”

“Great academic program. Wonderful teachers and teacher to student ratio. High availibility to music, art, and other activities. Very high parent involvement.”

“This is a very good school, a great setting with nature area, dedicated teachers and staff. There is a lack of diversity, but Wagner Ranch is better in that area than the other Orinda schools.”
